COMMUNITY INCLUSION GRANT
The Community Inclusion Grants are designed to promote community inclusion so everyone has the opportunity to learn, earn, live and connect together in Wyandot County.
One example of the Community Inclusion Grant in action, is the Sensory Barn. The Sensory Barn was added to the Wyandot County Fair in the Summer of 2024 to make the fair more accessible and inclusive for everyone! By providing a safe and engaging space for individuals with autism, sensory processing disorders, disabilities, and others who may experience sensory overload, the Sensory Barn encourages participation and enjoyment for all members of the community.
Thanks to community inclusion grants, this space can continue to evolve and serve as a model for future fairground accessibility. The grants support the ongoing development of such inclusive spaces, ensuring that everyone—regardless of their sensory needs—can experience the joy, fun, and excitement of the fair without barriers.
